(More customer reviews)As a lover of all things lemony, I was quite disappointed at the strange flavor of Sweet Seasons Lemon Bread. While the texture is perfect, and the lemon bread bakes up into a pleasant, moist loaf, with a nicely-browned top, the flavor does not live up to the product's otherwise appealing attributes.

It was too buttery, and had a fake lemony taste that was too subtle. A stronger lemon taste might have tipped the balance over into good territory, but as it was, the lemon is too subtle. When overpowered with the butter and the slightly malty taste from the malted barley flour, the overall flavor was one of unfortunate sickly-sweetness.

Our 8-year-old daughter did like it, though, and it mixes up very quickly and easily, so it might be a good bet for children.
